The corners are straight, but the tubes retain a round shape, which requires great skill. The backrest is only attached to the frame at 2 points and appears to float unhitched above the seat.
The braid is made according to the ancient tradition of weaving and gives flexible back support. The seat is upholstered with a water-repellent damask that is easily removable.
